DAY 4: Synergetic Partnership.
When I think about employing my money, I see the authority that comes with my position. And I want to be the best employer! This means allowing a syngeretic partnership to form: a palpable dynamic of balanced collaboration and independence.
Today we are strengthening the bond and communication we have with our money. And we are going to be giving our money some creative freedom to begin to do it’s job really well.
Have you ever worked for a super controlling, micromanaging employer? There was that gripping energy, right? You probably felt untrusted and maybe even a little incapable. This is what happens to our money when we (the employer) operate from this fear-based, gripping, micromanaging, scared position.
There have been times in my life where a bill that needed to be paid rolled in and I had the money to pay it but just. wouldn’t. do. it.
I felt scared that the money wouldn’t return or that I wouldn’t be able to buy something more fun for myself. So I held onto it, let my bills grow and go to collections, and became incredibly bogged down with anxiety (and debt!). The shift for me started when I would pause in those moments of not wanting to pay the bill, notice the feelings that were arising in my body, and lean into the opposite of what I naturally wanted to do.
I paid the damn bill.
I trusted the flow of money (after a while).
I relinquished my control.
And the relationship became more fluid and more trusting. Synergetic and more free.
Yesterday you saw what was happening in your spreadsheet. You saw what money was coming in, and what money was going out. I want to acknowledge that there is a difference between can’t and won’t when it comes to paying your bills. You can’t pay with money you don’t have. It’s possible that you have bills that you need to pay that you are quite literally unable to pay.
So there’s camp, “I won’t pay this because I am struggling emotionally to pay this” and camp, “I can’t pay this because I don’t have enough money to pay this.”
Which camp are you in?
If you are in the “can’t camp” I want you to pay super close attention to this part. I have been in both camps for so much of my life, and recently I recognized a subconscious belief that the authority to change my money situation was somehow outside of myself (cough, cough, husband, or cough, cough, inheritance!).
Here’s the thing: you are the author of your personal definition of abundance and you are also the author of the realization of that abundance. And whichever camp you are in, It is on you to make the changes that need to happen!

“You are the author of your personal definition of abundance and you are also the author of the realization of that abundance.”
So here are the questions you are going to be asking yourself today. You can journal it out or process in a way that works best for you:
Where am I holding my money back? Where am I not letting it do it’s work?
Where am I looking outside of myself for abundance? Where am I giving my authority away?
Action:
The opposite is your medicine. During those times where an impending transaction triggers your body, lean into the opposite energy and act accordingly.
Find where you are giving your authority away and take a step into the drivers seat. Own it and take responsibility.
