The Essence Retreat
October 17th-20th in Troy, Montana
Nurture your inner essence at this grounding, cozy, nature-infused retreat in the mountains of Montana
Nurture your inner essence before going to rest
Massage. Yoga. Herbalism. Coziness. Crafts.
Immerse yourself in the mountains of Montana during the coziest time of year — Fall! This is the ultimate space for bone deep self-care. Picture yoga in the mornings, daily baths in the clawfoot tubs, massage, sauna time, polar plunges, hiking around the nearby lake, herbalism, time spent with amazing women, the list goes on…
The intention for this retreat is to get you feeling bundled in self-trust for the slower months ahead. Combing daily yoga, mindfulness practices, and various healing rituals, you will leave feeling completely reset, deeply creative, and excited for the cooler season ahead. The retreat format is structured to give you plenty of time for rest, intuitive wandering, and self-exploration.
Retreat days will be woven with intention and natural beauty, grounding you into presence. Each day will end cozied up around the outdoor fire pit with warm drinks and cozy blankets, with an incredible group of women. Fall asleep with the frogs and rise with the geese playing on the pond. Return to your softest most regulated Self.

The Property
15 acres of wild beauty in the mountains of Montana. This is the home and sacred space of Hy and Dani Boltz. Originally the primary home, but now a magical retreat haven that they get to share with the world. The house and cabin were built with healing in mind blending together natural elements, well-loved recycled material, and creative vision. This off-grid retreat property is perfect for anyone needing to reconnect and refuel in a quiet, nurturing space. Surrounded by mountains, forested greenery, a pond and creek, you will find palpable peace and simplicity here.
What to expect if you decide to camp.
We have a very comfy tucked away spot behind a privacy fence on our property. There are plenty 3 spots total for tent set up. You will have full access to all of the indoor amenities in the big house along with access to the cute and pleasant outhouse near the camping spots for middle of the night bathroom trips.
Bring whatever gear will make you feel most comfy. Fall asleep to a crackling fire every night. Wake up in nature with a frosty nose and toasty body.

Your retreat hosts.
Dani Boltz, LMT, RYT
I’ve been leading retreats for the past seven years and they have turned out to be a source of seasonal revitalization for me; a kind of self-care maintenance that I couldn’t live without.
I believe that our stories are what connect us, especially the harder parts of them, and I think there is so much power in coming together as group to share, heal, laugh, cry, and connect in an open-hearted way.
I love traveling and hosting retreats in new unique places that inspire me, and I like to mix my adventurous travels in with hosting out of my retreat property, Northwest Montana Retreat. The healing I’ve experienced here is unlike anywhere else and I attribute that to the beautiful nature-infused home my husband built, the natural beauty that surrounds it, and the simple everyday rituals I’ve woven into my life there.
At our retreats you can expect to see me making every corner beautiful, constantly offering you a comfy drink, and holding space for you to be you to show up fully as you are. I can’t wait to be your new cozy friend <3

I believe in living a life full of intention and when possible beauty. Some of my core values include deep connections with community and commitment to self growth. I try to bring all these things together through the work that i do in the world and i really love how beautifully intentional living, community and growth all happen together in a retreat space.
I have lead retreats all over the U.S. and Canada and each and every time i am touched deeply by the experience of sharing a safe space with intention with all of the different people who choose to come participate in the retreat experience. When leading retreats i truly feel that my life is enriched by being able to share on topics and skills that i am passionate about.
I am excited to bring my passions of self reflection, intentional living, balancing the nervous system, herbalism and massage/bodywork to share at this beautiful retreat.
